Tanzania Safari (Optional Rwanda Gorilla Trekking)

Custom Luxury Land Package

January 15–24, 2027

Join Carey & Mark Kaspari on Global Track’s exclusive 9-night adventure showcasing the best of Tanzania, experiencing immersive safaris, guided game drives, bush walks, and unforgettable wildlife encounters in some of Africa’s most iconic landscapes! Begin in the lush foothills of Mount Meru in Arusha, then travel to elephant-rich Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, before continuing to the vast Serengeti, offering the greatest concentration of plains animals in Africa and the spectacular Great Migration

January falls within Tanzania’s short dry season, when roads are more accessible for game drives and wildlife gathers around water sources, making sightings easier. It is also the wildebeest calving season in the Southern Serengeti during the Great Migration, one of the best times to observe predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas as they follow the newborn herds.

Extend your safari with a once in a lifetime Rwanda Gorilla Trekking adventure!

Optional Rwanda Gorilla Trekking
January 24–28, 2027

Extend your safari with an unforgettable 4‑night immersion into Rwanda’s lush volcanic highlands, venturing deep into the rainforest in search of the world’s last remaining mountain gorillas. Journey through the spectacular “Land of a Thousand Hills” alongside expert ranger‑guides as you trek through emerald forests, climb volcanic slopes, and experience rare, heart‑stirring encounters with endangered mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park.

Gorilla trekking in Rwanda is among the most exclusive wildlife experiences on Earth, with fewer than 100 visitors allowed to see the gorillas each day, making each encounter profoundly intimate and deeply meaningful. Your adventure continues with a second primate trek into the bamboo forests to meet the playful and charismatic golden monkeys, another species found only in this region of Africa.

  • Golden Monkey Trekking, offering the chance to observe these lively primates as they leap and chatter their way through the bamboo canopy
  • A meaningful visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a place of remembrance, reflection, and education honoring the victims of the 1994 Genocide
  • A guided tour of the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, a world‑class conservation, education, and research center dedicated to protecting Rwanda’s mountain gorillas and their forest home
